Detox in Florida

Specializing in the treatment of alcoholism, drug addiction, prescription drug addiction, eating disorders, gambling addiction and associated mental health problems.

Detox in Florida is offered onsite at Florida Center for Recovery by a team of medical professionals consisting of physicians, psychiatrists and a nursing staff. Our medical detox is part of our private addiction treatment program which is often performed on clients who have a moderate to severe addiction to the following: alcohol, heroin, opiate-related drugs such as Oxycontin, Percocet, Percodan, Vicodin, and benzo-related drugs such as Xanax, Klonopin and Valium.

Clients enrolled at our Florida detox program will follow individualized detox protocols, tailored to meet our clients' unique neurobiological and biochemical needs. During the detoxification process, clients are closely monitored for signs of discomfort, anxiety, and any other physical or psychological withdrawal symptoms. At this point clients are educated about their bodies and how it reacts to the withdrawal of substances. We have found through our many years of treating addictions that when clients are prepared to cope, and are well-informed about their addiction issues, they become more receptive to the supportive therapies that follow. Therefore, drug and alcohol detox is only one component of our addiction treatment program; after detox is complete, we offer an array of recovery therapies through our residential and outpatient treatment programs.

As part of our holistic approach, our detox program incorporates traditional medical detox with biofeedback sessions. This powerful treatment approach is delivered at the Serenity Lounge, where a combination of music, choreographed imagery, vibrations and binaural beats are utilized to induce a natural meditative state. By utilizing biofeedback therapy, clients practice deep-breathing and engage in positive emotional thoughts. The "Serenity" biofeedback sessions are proven to be successful in aiding the process of mental and emotional healing in individuals who are starting their recoveries. Through medically monitored detox and biofeedback sessions, our clients are comfortably and gently eased into sobriety. After detox is complete, we offer individual and private therapy sessions, as well as supportive therapies that promote total wellness, including: medical massage, chiropractic care, yoga and personal training.
